We use a combination of plant-based and mineral-based ingredients, carefully chosen to be both gentle and effective.

Yes — our products are designed with families in mind. We avoid harsh ingredients and offer gentle, non-toxic alternatives suitable for everyday use.
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — many of our customers switch to Arborfill because of skin sensitivities. We also offer unfragranced options.
Do your products actually work?
Yes — they’re designed to be both gentle and effective. Many customers are surprised at how well simple, low-tox ingredients can clean.
Do you use synthetic fragrance?
We avoid synthetic fragrances. Some products have a light natural scent, while others are completely fragrance-free.
Refills & Packaging
How does the refill system work?
If you’re local to Berkshire, we collect your empty bottles, refill them and return them to your doorstep. For nationwide orders, we use recyclable or compostable packaging wherever possible.
What containers do I need?
You can reuse your own containers or choose from our refillable glass bottles.
What happens to the packaging?
We prioritise reuse, recycling and compostable materials to reduce waste wherever we can.
Do I need special bottles for refills?
No — any clean, suitable container will work. Our bottles are simply designed to make it easier and longer-lasting.
Delivery & Local Service
Do you offer local delivery?
Yes — we offer a doorstep refill service across Berkshire.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes — we deliver across the UK through our online shop.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times vary depending on your location, but we aim to dispatch orders promptly and keep things running smoothly.

Can I use your laundry products for sensitive skin?
Yes — our non-bio options are especially popular with families, babies and those with sensitive skin.
Do I need to use more product than usual?
No — most of our products are concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
Are your products anti-bacterial?
Many of the ingredients we use, such as citric acid and vinegar, naturally help reduce bacteria while still being gentle for your home.
How do I switch to non-toxic cleaning without getting overwhelmed?
Start with one or two simple swaps and build from there. Focus on progress, not perfection — every small change makes a difference.
Laundry swaps are a great place to start. Our skin is our biggest organ and we wear our clothes all day every day - so reducing toxins in this area has a big impact on our skin health.

Some products may cost slightly more upfront when compared to supermarket own brands, but they’re often concentrated and longer-lasting. Refilling also helps reduce waste and repeated packaging costs over time.

Yes — everything we offer is carefully selected or tested to make sure it works well in real homes.
How did Arborfill start?
Arborfill started towards the end of the Covid pandemic, when I had three children and was trying to make healthier choices at home without adding more to an already full plate.
I found myself overwhelmed by the amount of information and options, and couldn’t find a simple, local refill service that made things easier.
Arborfill was created to offer a more practical, gentle approach — making it easier to reduce toxins and waste in a way that fits around real family life.
