There's something about coming home after a weekend away that makes me want to reset the house before the week begins.
This time, the teenager had actually done a pretty good job of keeping the kitchen under control. It wasn't spotless, but it also wasn't the disaster I was half expecting! A quick tidy, putting everything back where it belonged, and it was ready for a proper clean.
One of my favourite products for this job is oxygen bleach.
I remove everything from the worktops, clear away any crumbs and everyday mess, then clean the surfaces thoroughly before putting everything back. It leaves the kitchen feeling fresh and ready for another busy week.
I love oxygen bleach because it's a simple ingredient that helps tackle everyday stains and grime without relying on harsh, heavily fragranced cleaning products and chlorine bleach. It's become one of those cupboard staples that I reach for again and again.
A clean kitchen doesn't have to mean using lots of different products. Sometimes a good declutter, a thorough wipe down and the right cleaner are all you need to make the space feel completely refreshed.
If you're also resetting your home after a trip away, why not start with the kitchen? It's amazing how much calmer the rest of the house feels once the heart of the home is back in order.
I shared this reset on Instagram you can watch it here.
**Top tip:** Always check that oxygen bleach is suitable for the surface you're cleaning, and follow the manufacturer's guidance before use.
